Cardenal Oscar Andrés Rodríguez recibía 5 000 dólares
mensuales del gobierno de Flores.
Como demuestran estos documentos enviados a nuestra redacción, el cardenal Óscar Andrés Rodríguez Maradiaga, arzobispo de Tegucigalpa, recibía un salario mensual del gobierno anterior al de Manuel Zelaya, y como añade la nota “es evidente que este cura no se va a mojar la sotana para amparar al actual Presidente constitucional”. Miercoles 1 de Julio por la mañana:Friends, the Honduran community in the Washington, DC area and their allies, including FMLN, Alliance for Global Justice, CISPES, School Of the Americas Watch, Mexicanos Sin Fronteras, CASA of Maryland and many others, have organized different actions since Sunday against the Coup D’Etat in Honduras. We are asking allies organizations to circulate the following information and take action:LATEST NEWS:HONDURAN CONGRESS JUST ANNOUNCED A SUSPENSION OF ALL CITIZEN RIGHTS FOR 24 HOURS. CITIZENS MAY NOT ORGANIZE OR PROTEST, AND HOMES MAY BE ENTERED WITHOUT PERMIT.The Organization of American States passed a resolution early Wednesday condemning a military-led coup that ousted Honduran President Jose Manuel Zelaya this week and calls for the suspension of Honduras' membership if Zelaya isn't restored to power within three days. The day before the OAS' condemnation, the U.N. General Assembly, in a unanimous vote, also adopted a resolution stating that Zelaya should be restored to power.Mr. Zelaya has said he will return this Thursday to Honduras to reclaim the presidency. The presidents of Argentina and Ecuador have said they will accompany Mr. Zelaya, along with the O.A.S. Secretary General and a United Nations delegation.Most of Latin American and European countries have already recalled their Ambassadors. However, at the White House, the press secretary, Robert Gibbs, said Tuesday said that while President Obama has condemned the coup, there are no plans to recall the American ambassador. The United States said it saw no acceptable solution to Mr. Zelaya’s ouster other than returning him to power.The State Department spokesman, Ian C. Kelly, told reporters that Washington was still reviewing whether to cut off aid to Honduras as a result of the crisis. Meanwhile, according to AP, Pentagon spokesman Bryan Whitman says the United States has "postponed" joint operations in light of last weekend's military coup against that country's president. Whitman would not be specific, but the suspension could be far-reaching. The United States runs Central American security and counter-narcotics operations from an air base in Honduras. Whitman says only operations affecting Honduras itself are on hold. The U.S. government is reviewing further moves to protest the coup.TAKE ACTION NOW:Call the following U.S. government officials and tell them that:· Coup Governments are against Democratic Principles, therefore the United States must immediately:· Remove the U.S. Ambassador from Honduras, and· Cut off financial aid to Honduras until Democratic elected President Zelaya returns to officeState Department, Secretary Hillary Clinton’s Counselor and Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills: 202-647-5548Senator John Kerry, Foreign Relations Committee Chair: 202-224-2742UPDATE IN HONDURAS from the Committee of Families of the Disappeared in Tegucigalpa, Honduras:The Honduran military forced Zelaya out on Sunday morning. Troops entered the president's residence and sent him into exile, flying him to Costa Rica. Political turmoil has swept through the Central American nation of 8 million since the coup.1. Over 25,000 are in the streets, as part of the "resistance", demanding the reinstatement of their constitutional president, Manuel Zelaya. They are demanding that democracy and the constitution be respected. 2. Many people supporting the coup are also on the streets, on another part of the city. There could be violence if the 2 connect.3. All government institutions have been militarized.

Hondureños en Washington D.C. Protestan el Golpe Militar
HONDURAS LIBRE Y DEMOCRATICONO AL GOLPE MILITARInmediatamente despues de conocerse el golpe de estado en Honduras, la mañana del domingo 28 de Junio, un grupo de hondureños residentes en los estados de Virginia, Maryland y Washington D.C, se organizaron y convocaron a todos los hondureños residentes en el exterior, y al pueblo hondureño en general, independientemente de sus filiaciones o militancias partidarias a participar en un plan de acciones para rechazar el golpe militar y demandar la restitucion del gobierno civil electo democraticamente por el pueblo. Estas acciones han contado con grupos, organizaciones e individuos en solidaridad con la causa libertaria del pueblo hondureño.
FOTOS DE LA PROTESTAURGENTE:Hoy martes 30 de Junio y ante la eminente llegada del presidente Manuel Celaya a Washington D.C. esta tarde donde sera recibido en una reunion especial en la OEA, se esta convocando a toda la comunidad de hondureños residentes ene el area a reunirse a las 4:00 PM al pie del monumento a Washington, tambien conocido como la aguja, para salir caminando a las 5:00 PM a un rrally frente a la Organizacion de estados Americanos (OEA)NOTICIAS:
